THIS IS THE STORY OF HANSON!!! As youngsters the Hanson boys (Isaac Taylor and Zachary) Were the oldest of their parents (Walker and Diana) children. They were home-schooled because their fathers job made them move around alot! They were normal children raised with loving parents. By the time the oldest(Isaac) was in 3rd. grade (still being taught by his parents) Wrote a song called "Rain Falling Down". He wrote thing off the top of his head and made songs out of it. Then his younger brothers (Taylor and Zac) started writing songs naturally. When they got older they had chores to do like doing the dishes. Well when there parents would come in to see how they were doing with the dishes, the dishes would still be piled to the sky because the youngsters would have written a song instead. Soon their parent discovered their talent and encourged. Soon enough the brothers started a group called "The Hanson Brothers" Because they grew up listening to 50's and 60's rock and roll they sang some oldies at a local feastival called mayfest in Tulsa Oklahoma. Soon they performed in talent conntests and were a big hit! One day when at a talent contest they heard it was in a bar. Of course they could not perform inside a bar so their parents asked the bartender if their childern could perform their song outside. The bartender agreed and everyone went outside to listen to these tikes. A talent scout found the boys and offered them a record deal. They agreed and got their first hit song "MMMBop". People wanted to know who are these Hansons we hear about on the raido? Well the Hanson let us know by making a video for "MMMBop" They instantly became a teen heart-throb. On the covers of BB, Bop, And Teen Magazines. Soon enough Hanson came out with another record called "The Middle of Nowhere" And off that they got another #1 hit "Weird". They battled with Backstreet boys for the #1 spot on total request live. Of course Hanson won the battle. Now they put out another cd out just before they went on tour called "3 Car Garage" There tour was called "The Albertain Tour" afer the song off MON (Middle of Nowhere). The tour was a big success! Girls everywhere screaming. Then they put out their most recient record "The Albertain Tour" During all this time they put out 2 videos "Hanson the Video" and "On the Road to Albertain" Go GET THEM!! | ||||||||||||||||

5/19/99 Last nights private screening of Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace was really cool. It was great to see the guys and how much Zac has grown!! He's almost as tall as Taylor now. :) Everyone was of course all positive on the movie, but to me I think a few people didn't look as blown away by it as maybe they thought; which is not surprising really considering all the hype that has been preceding it's release. I'm sure it's great though and everyone will want to see it- I know I will!! In a recent issue of the Swedish pop magazine OKEJ, you can vote for the hottest guy in pop and among the nominated guys is Tay...:) So everyone get voting! {Emily} 5/17/99 Seventeen Magazine is having a poll to see who should get pelted by water bombs: Hanson, The Backstreet Boys or Britney Spears. Lets make BSB or Spears the ones who get all wet !! The other night my local news was interviewing one of the main guys behind the song "Livin' La Vida Loca", his name is Desmond Child. He helped write 5 songs on Ricky Martin new album. As they were talking with him he quickly mentioned that "Recently he has worked with many artists including Hanson". As you may know, he has already worked with Hanson on Middle of Nowhere on one of the more well known tracks, "Weird". You never know though he may have co-written another song with Hanson for the new album. I mean its surely possible! {Cristina} Europe: I was watching the Boy & Girl Band Weekend on MTV Europe and the only thing that was aired, which involved Hanson, was the before shown interview called "The Essential Hanson" which was recorded last summer while the guys did their Albertane Tour. There was also a video list called "Top ten boy band videos", which featured popular videos, by all-male groups, throughout the decade, you could say. Jackson 5 was on it, Boys II Men etc. Hanson's "Mmmbop" was number 3 on the list (pretty good!)...Number 2 was Boyzone's "Picture of You" and Number 1...Backstrett Boys with "Everybody". {Magda} 5/14/99 MTV is premiering "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace The Private Screening" is on Tuesday, May 18 at 10:00pm. Cool Hanson are going to be on MTV Europes Girl vs Boy Band Weekend.I know that they are featuring them because on the advert it showed Hanson's faces in three blue stars.All must watch. {ASHLEIGH, South Africa} 5/13/99 Do you think that picture of Taylor in the pool is really him? Read what some are saying and add your own ideas about it here (just for fun). Personaly, I don't think it is, but I thought it would be interesting to see what others thought. It will be great once Hanson get the new CD out so we have real things to talk about!! :) I was reading this brand new magazine called J-14 and on the back pages, they had hanson as #3 on hottest bands and I will Come To You was #9 on hottest songs! I was surprised since they were competing agaist this years hottest bands, I guess Hanson still lives on even without a current product. I mean, they were like against Lauren Hill and Nsync!! {Sky} On the European MTV news it said that Hanson will be on the premiere of the film Stars Wars Phanton Menace, so look for anything on TV about it. Hanson and their friends are fans of Stars Wars, I read it a year ago in the European mag called TV Hits. {Ingrid, Spain} 5/10/99 When MTV's 25 most Lame videos was aired on May 8th, Mmmbop was at position # 34!!! This was in no small part to everyone's support here by going to the link we posted and voting for Mmmbop to stay and others to go. Although not the lowest we got it to (#38), it was off the top 25 and that was our goal. Remember, when the thing first started Mmmbop was at #14 !! I'm sure Hanson really appreciated everyone's suupport on this. I was reading through my Teen People for June/July 1999 - "The 21 Hottest Stars Under 21" issue, and came upon this little Hanson bit. Thought you guys might want to see it. {Marina} I was watching Sabrina The Teenage Witch last night(5-6) and Helda and Zelda were stuck in the witch realm and had to answer questions to get back into the normal world. A guard in a red uniform said that he needed proof that they were from the normal world, so he asked them questions. The first question he asked was "Name the 3 Hanson Brothers" . Zelda didn't know, and then Helda said "Isaac, Zachary and Taylor". (In that order). COOL HEY!!!! They are in the hot stuff section on page 154. It seems Hanson are starting a trend with their pants :). {Laura} 5/4/99 "Hanson and their family are safe and sound. :)", C. Sabec Tornadoes tore through Oklahoma and Kansas on Monday night, wiping out whole neighborhoods, killing at least 41 people and injuring hundreds. Check out this Incredible Realvideo of the tornado, courtesy of KFOR in Oklahoma. At least 36 were reported dead in Oklahoma, and 5 were killed in Kansas. More than 2,000 homes were obliterated. Hanson's home was not effected as Tulsa and Bixby are quite further north from Norman and Oklahoma City. This has been confirmed. Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating called the tornadoes possibly the worst in the state's history. He has called in the National Guard to patrol the streets and police were sealing off a 25-mile square section of southern Oklahoma City, where the governor estimated between 600 to 800 homes were destroyed. "It's just absolutely unprecedented. No one has ever heard of something like this," said Keating."There are a lot of communities we are getting information from the highway patrol and sheriff's offices that have literally been obliterated." Meteorologists said the worst of the tornadoes appeared to be F-5 storms that pack winds of 260 mph! A tornado hit a hospital in Stroud, southwest of Tulsa. CHAPTER 1 BY AMY: (if you have another chapter you want to add please email me and make sure it goes with the beginning of this story) Zac! Zac! Where are you?� Taylor called. �In here!� Zac�s voice cut through the silence. Taylor followed the sound. Zac was in the living room playing patty-cake with Zoe. �What�s the matter Tay?� Zac inquired. �I can�t find Isaac. I need to find him soon.� Zac quickly crawled after Zoe as she tired from the patty-cake game and was trying to crawl up on the couch. �Ummm�I�m not sure where he is. He was on the lap-top about an hour ago. Then I heard the phone ring and I heard him answer it. Then I started watching Zoe and I�ve been pretty busy. �Ok. Thanks. I�ll take a walk around and see where he went.� �Cool,� Zac said, running after the energetic infant. Taylor rushed out into the cool air. He circled the backyard a few times, then set out around town. **************************************************************************** ************************************************** Meanwhile, Isaac was in the walking down to the mall. He walked into the store and started looking around the tons of shelves. �Great! I�ll never find it in here!� Isaac sighed and walked to another store. Diana later took Zoe away from Zac and began to feed her lunch. Zac walked out into the treehouse in the backyard. Some of the boards nailed on the tree were starting to become disrepaired, so he had to carefully make his way up the trunk. Zac finally stepped into the treehouse and almost tripped over Taylor�s rollerblades. �TAYLOR!� he screamed, knowing full well his older brother couldn�t here him. He threw the rollerblades in a corner. �Why in the world would you have a pair of roller skates in a treehouse?� he asked himself, then shook his head, deciding he didn�t want to know the reason anyway. He pulled out a piece of paper and began dooodling his MOEman cartoons. Nothing seemed to look right, so he abandoned the paper and took out his gameboy. He was so caught up in his game that he didn�t hear Diana calling him from the house. **************************************************************************** ************************************************ Isaac paced around any store he could find-he looked at shoes for awhile, then at shirts, and finally at some new nintendo games. �I�ll never find the perfect present for Taylor. It�s his sweet sixteen and I need a very special present!� He wandered into a fancier store selling cologne. A woman walked up to him and sprayed him with a cologne bottle. Some of the cologne got in Isaac�s eyes. �For the love of God-you�ve blinded me,� he screamed out, but the woman had already rushed to another victim and was spraying him with a different bottle. Isaac tripped out of the store with his hands over his eyes. He was now furious and impatient. He wasn�t usually like this, but he was so stressed to find the perfect present for Taylor, and now some pushy lady had tried to drench his eyeballs with cologne that smelled like a dead muskrat. He proceded to the bathroom where he tried to flush his eyes out with water and wash the awful cologne off of him. **************************************************************************** ************************************************** �Where is he?� Tay asked. He walked to the nearby arcade and went in. He found a bunch of friends, and asked if anyone had seen his brother. No one had, and he was ready to walk back outside and continue the search when some of his friends convinced him to share a pizza with them. Tay sat down and started eating and talking with his friends, and decided to go after Isaac later. Isaac resumed his �shopping spree�. His eyes were itching and burning a bit, but he decided to keep himself busy and he would forget about the pain soon. He resolved to stay away from the store again. And he was assured he was not going to be buying Tay a bottle of cologne. ******************************* | ||||||||||||||||
